• Merit-based internship

At RCAD, my typography teacher, George Sadek, inspired me to use type as a medium—just as I would paint—to express concepts, evoke feelings. I was awarded an internship in the Ringling Design Center at his recommendation. One of the projects I created under his direction was the Fine Arts Thesis Catalog for the graduating class of 1999.

Also during that internship, my painting teacher, Leslie Lerner, asked me to design an ad for an exhibition of his “My Life in France” series. This full page ad appeared in the Tampa Tribune. The design was translated into print collateral and accompanying exhibit items for sale at the Tampa Museum of Art.
